Best Welder PipeMaster
PipeMaster: scalable automatic pipe welding system
PipeMaster is an automatic pipe welding system adapted to the customer’s production. It combines control of the welding boom, the rotator and the EWM welding machine into one easy-to-use system.
PipeMaster can be built with one or more welding booms and torch heads. The working range, pipe size, load capacity and number of support rollers are specified to suit the customer’s production.
Easy to use
The torch is moved quickly close to the joint with manual quick-release movements. Precise positioning is done electrically.
Operator steps
- Clamp the workpiece.
- Select a saved welding recipe.
- Move the torch close to the joint with the quick-release movements.
- Fine-tune the torch position with the electric movements.
- Press the start button.
PipeMaster carries out the weld according to the selected recipe and the set parameters.
Scalable design
PipeMaster can be built, for example:
- With one welding boom and torch head
- With several welding booms and torch heads
- For short or long pipes
- With automatically adjusting support rollers
- With a rotator sized for the customer’s production
The automatic support rollers adjust to the pipe size entered on the control panel. This speeds up workpiece changes and keeps the centreline of pipes of different sizes at the correct height.
PipeMaster control panel
The control panel controls the welding boom, the rotator and the EWM welding machine.
On the panel you set, for example:
- Size of the pipe being welded
- Required circumferential speed
- Welding speed
- Weld length or rotation angle
- AVC height tracking values
- Welding current and other welding parameters
- Start and stop delays
- Rotator and welding machine functions
Settings can be saved as named recipes. When a similar job comes back into production, the saved settings can be loaded straight from the panel.
The PipeMaster control panel is part of the PipeMaster system.
Accessories
- Support rollers that adjust automatically to the pipe size
- Additional welding booms and torch heads
- AVC height tracking
- Two-axis tactile seam tracking
- Torch oscillation
- Application-specific clamps and torch heads
Oscillation produces a programmed side-to-side motion during welding. Its width, speed and edge dwell times are set to suit the joint being welded.
