Reach: mobile welding boom
A versatile welding boom for mechanised welding of straight and rotating workpieces.
Reach is suitable for MIG/MAG, TIG and plasma welding. It can be used on its own, with a welding positioner or together with welding rotators. Fast manual quick-travel movements bring the torch effortlessly close to the weld. Precise positioning is done with 150 mm electric movements up/down and left/right.
Motorised longitudinal travel is standard. Options include AVC height tracking, two-axis tactile seam tracking and combined control of the EWM welding machine and the welding positioner.
Reach Compact: compact mobile welding boom
An agile welding boom, especially for MIG/MAG, TIG and plasma welding of rotating workpieces. Reach Compact can be used with a welding positioner or welding rotators, and it suits workstations where space is limited. Fast manual quick-travel movements make it easy to bring the torch close to the weld. Precise positioning is done with standard 150 mm electric movements up/down and left/right.
Motorised longitudinal travel is available as an option for straight welds. AVC height tracking, two-axis tactile seam tracking and combined control of the EWM welding machine and the welding positioner are also available.
PipeMaster: scalable automated pipe welding system
PipeMaster is an automated pipe welding system adapted to the customer’s production. It can be built with one or more welding booms and torch heads, and fitted with support rollers that adjust automatically to the pipe size. Fast quick-travel movements bring the torch effortlessly close to the joint, after which precise positioning is done with electric movements.
Combined control of the welding positioner and the EWM welding machine is included in the system. The control panel sets the pipe size, circumferential and welding speed, AVC values and welding parameters. Settings can be saved as named recipes for future jobs.

MV-Welding Oy has received funding for a project that aims to improve the company’s export readiness and to develop the product for new markets. The project focuses in particular on the German and Norwegian markets and on mapping cooperation opportunities for the Best Welder welding machine. During the project, new features are also developed for the product to improve its usability and competitiveness in international markets.
The project’s total budget is €60,436. The EU funding granted accounts for €30,217 of the total budget, of which €16,986 is de minimis aid. The project runs from 19 August 2024 to 30 June 2025. The development work carried out during the project supports the company’s long-term growth and competitiveness in international markets.
